Not a bad little camera!

Im used to shooting with a Nikon D40 DSLR.
My wife wanted that nikon coolpix that ashton kutcher draws on with his finger as he runs around the party annoying everyone.
the reviews were horrible, i searched for every touchscreen camera and almost got an ulser trying to select the right one for my wifes birthday. I wanted to get her the features she wanted, but i also wanted to make sure she wouldnt be disappointed with the images is captures. With a handful of these touchscreen cameras on the market, the pickings are slim.
Basically if you want DSLR quality you need a DSLR, if you wife wants a cute sexy slick little pink camera to throw in her purse and can be the source of almost endless entertinment, this camera nails it on the head 100%
The pics are good. In daylight they are real good. In the garage playing beerpong at night with some friends they pics are somewhat grainy. But no more than any other P&S camera.
The touchscreen is not the same as an ipod, it is a little soft to the touch, but far far far more responsive than that piece of garbage cellphone called the Incite by LG.
Not QUITE as good as Ipod Touch screens, but a very close 2nd and very usable.
it has a lot of little neat features, you can make people smile if they werent smiling, you can give things a fish eye appearance, make things sparkle, you can draw on the screen and do all kinds of stuff with stamps, borders, etc..
this camera pretty much embodies everything that a seasoned photographer despises about new cameras, but i have to admit this little gizmo is a lot of fun to play around with.
Ill give it a full 5 out of 5 stars because while the image quality is not to my snobby DSLR user standard, it is 100% everything she was looking for, she absolutly loves it. |

This is the best digital camera I have ever owned! The best feature is the touch screen! I am able to use the sylus-type pen that came with it to edit my photos. I can crop my pictures and even right or draw on them. The screen is very crisp and clear with a great optical zoom feature. The camera takes great pictures and shoots awesome videos! I also love how the camera can be turned on or off by simply sliding the cover. The camera also comes with a rechargeable battery. This camera has turned many heads and gained a lot of attention. It's extremely functional while also being very fun!

We bought this camera for our daughter for her birthday as she wanted something smaller than her old Canon DSC. This little camera is amazing. It is easily carried in a pocket and produces great photos and HD videos (720p). She loves this camera and as a photography enthusiast using Canon digital SLRs, I have been very impressed with it's performance. The touch screen menu system is intuitive, and works well. As long as you don't have a problem with using a Sony Memory Stick instead of a SD card, you will love it!

Purchased for my niece and I am amazed with the quality of the pictures, specially when there is low light or even night time. Like very much the features of the camera but the only sort of negative issue I have is the battery life which is not bad but it is not great.

I purchased this camera because I liked the quality of photos in different lighting. It takes great pics in the dark and inside without that dark background your usually find in other brands. I love the auto features on this camera. It automatically knows what type of lighting you are in need of without selecting anything. It even fits in my pocket; I love the slim, compact design. The only draw backs to the camera are the lack of zoom ability and taking action pictures (of course that could be contributed to the user..me). Great value, especially through Amazon!
